About Digital Humanism

The EURIDICE project actively supports the Digital Humanism Initiative. The Digital Humanism Initiative is an international collaboration seeking to build a community of scholars, policy makers, and industrial players who are focused on ensuring that technology development remains centered on human interests.

Technology profoundly shapes the world we live in, and the stakes are high. Digital Humanism deals with digital technology development and policies based on human rights, democracy, inclusion, and diversity.

The Vienna Manifesto on Digital Humanism is a position statement signed by over 1000 leaders worldwide that lays out the motivation and goals for the Digital Humanism Initiative.

You can support the Vienna Manifesto on Digital Humanism by signing it. It has already been translated into various languages.

The Digital Humanism Initiave is hosted at the Centre for AI and Machine Learning (CAIML) at TU Wien.

The Roadmap for Digital Humanism was the outcome of a collaborative workshop in March 2023. The document has been authored by Erich Prem, Lynda Hardman, Hannes Werthner, Paul Timmers.
