The biannual EURIDICE meeting will take place in Paris this year, on invitation of Université Paris-Est Créteil. The program of this event, in which all partners participate, will soon be announced.

The picture shows the white alligator, an albino animal which was owned by the Palais de la Porte Dorée, in Paris. It was in this wonderful monument where, in May 2025, our partners from the Université Paris-Est Créteil, (UPEC) organised a great social event, inviting partner universities from EURIDICE and the Aurora Universities Network.

The Palace’s permanent exhibition at the Musée national de l’histoire de l’immigration traces the history of France from 1685 to the present day through the lens of migration. Completely redesigned in 2023, it offers a chronological, thematic and sensitive overview of this shared history.

Last week, January 5, 2026, the albino alligator left the Aquarium of the Palais de la Porte Dorée, to join the Crocodile Farm in Pierrelatte, in the Drôme region of France. The curious reptile now shares an enclosure with other albino alligators.
