Polis Digitalis is a new series of online lectures and interviews. This new monthly event within the Digital Humanism Initiative is offering discussions with worldwide digital policy makers. It is typically held on Tuesday afternoons at 17:00 CET. The goal of this series is to bring together policy makers, journalists and academics to discuss the most recent actual or foreseen developments of policy decisions for the digital sphere, reflect on their impact, raise awareness in civil society at large and, when deemed suitable, formulate our own proposals in the spirit of Digital Humanism.

Brando Benifei is Member of the European Parliament, (Partito Democratico, Italy). He will be interviewed by Hannes Werthner about the latest developments in the European Union with respect to his contribution to tackling AI deepfakes and sexual exploitation on social media by making full use of the EU’s digital rules.
