On 15 May 2025, as part of the implementation of the EURIDICE project, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice organised a guest lecture and public discussion with Assoc. Prof. Igor O. Shnitser, CSc. from the Faculty of History and International Relations of Uzhhorod National University, on the current challenges in the field of digital transformation in the environment of Ukrainian universities.
In the context of martial law, Assoc. Prof. Shnitser presented a paper on the challenging conditions faced by teachers and students in Ukrainian universities. He emphasised the merits of leveraging digital tools in the implementation of education, while concurrently acknowledging the challenges posed by the persistent threat in Ukraine. During a discourse with faculty members and students, he provided specific illustrations and commended the digital education courses that were mandatory for both faculty members and students following the onset of the war.
Educators and students of UPJŠ articulated their profound gratitude to Assoc. Prof. Shnitser and their esteemed colleagues from Uzhhorod National University for their unwavering commitment to preserving the highest standards of education in the face of unprecedented challenges posed by the wartime environment.
