Digital Humanism books surpassed 1M downloads

Vienna, 8 November 2024 — We received the news from our colleagues from TU Wien and the Digital Humanism Initiative, that the two books: Perspectives on Digital Humanism and Introduction to Digital Humanism, have reached a remarkable milestone of over one million downloads. These books contain all relevant topics and an overview of the ongoing international discussions from different perspectives regarding Digital Humanism. The subject and discussions covered in these two books are foundational for the EURIDICE educational offer and will be used in the various courses.

Authors from at least 9 EURIDICE partner institutions*) have contributed to one or several chapters in these two books. The Open Access publishing strategy for these two books is to enable widespread circulation and accessibility. This means that you can make use of the content freely, as long as you ensure appropriate referencing. At the same time, the books are also published in printed and online versions by Springer.

In this spirit, we are very happy to have already the Persian translation of Perspectives on Digital Humanism. Stay tuned for more information on our next book project! And a reminder on November 28 and 29 is the workshop “A Paradigm Shift in Computer Science?”.

We congratulate the editors and authors on this great milestone.
