The wish and promise to further expand and strengthen EURIDICE’s ecosystem, including also the cultural and creative sectors in Europe, brought a subset of the EURIDICE consortium, to engage in a new partnership and prepare a project plan to enhance the digital skills and create synergies with several cultural partners in six European countries. This new collaboration has led to new thematic synergies between the cultural, digital- technological and higher educational sectors. This new collaboration will provide opportunities for internships for the students who will be participating the EURIDICE DigiSoc master. With this PENELOPE project proposal – Promoting European Narratives to Engage cuLture through coOPEration, we have set a new step into the establishment of sustainable partnerships and ecosystem. What is the (new) story of Penelope?

“Odysseus once wandered the seas and shores, confronting many challenges and adventures. Ultimately, he arrived safely at home. Now, the time has come for Penelope herself to embark on an odyssey journey. It brings her across the, equally challenging and adventurous, seas and shores of our modern-time world of the Digital Transition.” With Penelope’s Digital Odyssey as overarching narrative frame, the PENELOPE project offers deep analysis, reflection and capacity-building on Digital Technologies/AI, their societal impacts, and the Digital Transition issues that come with them. PENELOPE’s aims are to contribute to the digital-transition resilience of the Cultural and Creative Sectors and to stimulate the digital transformation of Europe’s cultural and creative sectors.
