Vienna, 25 June 2026 – For participants of EURIDICE this is an important and relevant public event to attend, in which many aspects of the Digital Society are being addressed. The Digital Humanism conference started Wednesday evening with the screening of “The Ghost in the Machine”, a film directed by Valerie Veatch.

The first and second day, located at the impressive building of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, will address “challenges within ongoing efforts to responsibly build, govern, and maintain digital systems differently. It brings together actors from academia, public institutions, civil society, and industry who are actively engaged in shaping alternatives: from public digital infrastructures and open technologies to new forms of participation, regulation, collective knowledge production, and social innovation. ” see more information https://dighum.wien/about-dighum2026/
This conference is organized by the Digital Humanism Association in partnership with EUDHIT and the Austrian Academy of Sciences, supported by the City of Vienna and the Vienna Science and Technology Fund (WWTF). It will take place on 24–26 June at the Austrian Academy of Sciences.
From the EURIDICE project the organization includes TU Wien. Among the participants are partners from UPEC, AKMC, UDS, Pangea. Francis Saa-Dittoh from UDS is one of the speakers in the session: Geopolitics of AI.
