Innsbruck, 24 March 2024 – Twelve experts from three EURIDICE partners: University of Naples Federico II: (UNINA), University of Innsbruck (UIBK), and Palacky University Olomouc (UPOL) joined in a three-day curriculum design workshop to formulate requirements, structure and content of the curriculum for EURIDICE’s joint European master Digital Society, Social Innovation and Global Citizenship. This European joint master is an innovation in Higher Education and one of the core objectives of the EURIDICE project.
Some questions addressed : How to align education, Sustainable Development Goals and Digital Humanism? What kind of professional profile and key expertise will the graduates of this master have acquired ? How to deal with different disciplinary backgrounds? How to make the learning outcomes reflect the three foundational pillars: (i) Digital Society, (ii) Social Innovation, (iii) Global Citizenship.
A key aspect in this curriculum is the Collaboratorium. This is the central pedagogical innovation of EURIDICE, introduced into the master.
Other toipics discussed include the entry requirements, scholarships, accreditation requirements per country, language of instruction, thesis supervision, internships and various other subjects. The second day, learning outcomes were discussed and mapped against envisaged skills and capacities. How to map foundational ideas into existing competence frameworks and European regulation? This is a short summary of the topics discussed.
The next joint degree workshop will be hosted 17-19 April 2024 by Palacky University Olomouc. To be continued…
