EURIDICE at the Digital Talent EU Days in Dublin

Dublin, 15 October 2026 – the Digital Talent EU Days 2026 brought together leaders and key actors from across the EU to address the challenges of attracting, developing and retaining talent for Europe’s Digital Transformation, in which training 20 million new ICT experts for the European job market is still the target.

However, in contrast to the previous year’s, Digital Talent Days in Brussels, apart from the idea of simply increasing the numbers of technologists by boosting their digital skills, there was now also room for concern. The impact of AI on the job market is becoming strikingly visible, as mentioned by Laurent Muzellec, professor in marketing and digital business at Trinity Business College. Also, during various talks and panels the growing concern was discussed about AI’s impact on learning, on women employment, on cyber security and on the dependency of foreign, i.e. non-EU, providers of digital solutions.

EURIDICE was present with a banner and flyers, and open for discussion how European inclusive education for the Digital Society, Social Innovation and Global Citizenship can make a difference in this rapidly changing digital landscape. The educational proposition of EURIDICE shows itself, in the light of the latest policy developments, as an appropriate, timely and innovative approach.
